Kransky In Blankets

Ingredients 

  • 2 sheets ready rolled Heritage Bakers flaky puff pastry, thawed

  • 16 kransky 

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten with 1 tsp water

  • Sesame seeds 

Method

  1. Preheat the oven 190C (170C fan-forced)

  2. Place one sheet of pastry on a lightly floured work bench.

  3. Using a knife, cut the pastry into 4 even sized lengths.  Then cut the pastry in half horizontally. So you now have 8 pieces of pastry.

  4. Lightly brush the pastry with the egg.

  5. Place one kransky at the top of one of the pieces of pastry. Roll the pastry around the kransky and press to seal. 

  6. Repeat with remaining kransky.

  7. Place the seal side down onto a baking paper lined oven tray. 

  8. Brush with egg wash, sprinkle sesame seeds.

  9. Chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.

  10. Bake until the pastry is golden and puffy.

  11. Cool slightly before enjoying with mustard and tomato sauce.
