Makes: 8 swirls

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15–18 minutes

Skill level: Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Heritage Bakers ready-rolled flaky puff pastry (just thawed)

  • 3 Tbsp apricot jam

  • 100 g cream cheese, softened

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (180 °C fan bake). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Lay the pastry flat on its baking paper.

  3. Spread cream cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1 cm border.

  4. Dollop and swirl the apricot jam on top of the cream cheese, spreading gently to create a marbled effect.

  5. Roll up the pastry tightly into a log.

  6. Slice into 8 even swirls.

  7. Place cut-side up on the tray with space between each.

  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and deep golden, with the filling bubbling slightly.

  9. Cool for 5–10 minutes before serving warm — or let cool completely for a firmer swirl with a slightly chewy edge.
