Cute Little Jam Tarts

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15–18 minutes
Skill level: Easy
Makes: 12 tarts
Ingredients
2 sheet Heritage Bakers ready-rolled sweet shortcrust pastry
About 12 tsp jam (any flavour you like)
Method
Preheat the oven to 190°C (fan 170°C) and lightly grease a medium muffin tin.
Using a 6 cm round cutter (or one to fit your tins), cut rounds of pastry and gently press into the muffin tin.
Spoon 1 tsp jam into each pastry case.
Re-roll any offcuts and cut small shapes — stars, hearts or festive motifs — to sit on top of the jam.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the jam is gently bubbling.
Cool slightly before removing from the tin.
Tip: These can be frozen unbaked — place the filled tarts on a tray to freeze, then transfer to a container. Bake straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
